Our Sensei
My name is Alisha Baker, and I began my karate journey at just 9 years old. Under the guidance of my instructor, Hanshi Saleem, I learned that karate is more then the physical aspects — it is discipline, identity, and power. He instilled in me a practice rooted not only in the art itself, but in the strength our culture carries.
Today, I am a proud African American woman on a mission to empower the next generation of strong, confident young women through the martial arts.

Karate shaped my confidence, my leadership, and my voice. Now, I am committed to helping young girls discover their own strength.

CCK is honored to carry forward the teachings and lineage of Hanshi Saleem, 9th Degree Black Belt.
CCK is under his direct guidance and support of Hanshi Saleem and the Saleem Karate-do karate school.
His wisdom, discipline, and dedication to the martial arts have shaped generations of martial artists. Through his guidance, decades of community enrichment, his values of respect, strength, and cultural pride, we are able to continue passing karate on to the next generation.
Every student who trains at CCK carries a piece of the tradition and legacy established by our Hanshi.
